Ramblewild, Lanesborough MA

On March 18th, 2017, the Troop decided to go to Ramblewild, in Lanesborough MA. The boys had a lot of fun, as there were zip-lines and many obstacles.

We met at 8:15 in the morning, and by 8:45, we left for Ramblewild. It was a 2 hour drive. Once we reached, the boys ate lunch for about 30 – 45 minutes. There were 22 boys climbing!

Once we started climbing at 12, many scouts went on all the trails. There were 7 out of the 8 trails open, and there were 2 Yellow (Easy), 1 Green (Medium), 2 Blue (Hard), 1 Black Diamond (Harder), and 1 Double Black Diamond (Very Hard).

There was enough time for scouts to do at least 3 – 4 trails on the Aerial Park Adventure! And this allowed some to be able to get to the Black Diamond! The Double Black Diamond was for those 16+.

Our official climb time ended at 3:30 PM, but the staff allowed us to climb until we finished our last Aerial trail. We left Ramblewild around 4:15, and we reached back by 6:45 PM. The Boys had a lot of fun and many had a good time!

Scout Sunday

Scout Sunday Mass at St. Mary’s in Grafton, MA was held on Saturday February 4, 2017. Troop 106 went to church. At the church three scouts brought in the flags. Four people helped out Fr. Kenneth Cardinale during Mass. Josh Rodrique said the First Reading and Mr. Rodrique read the second reading.

Fr. Kenneth Cardinale did the blessing of the throat during Mass. At the end of Mass three other scouts brought the flags back to front of the church. After mass, we had a Pot Luck Dinner. Fr. Kenneth Cardinale said the Prayer before the meal. The gathering was a lot of fun.

Court of Honors – Dec 2016

Congratulation to all the Scouts who earned merit badges and moved up in rank at our Dec 2016 Court of Honor! Thanks to all the parents/families – we (and the Scouts) could not have accomplished all these things without your commitment and support!

Special thanks to Rima H who is leaving the Troop Committee.  She has served the Troop since Day 1.  Rima has spend 15+ years helping both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Grafton 106 in various roles.  We are grateful for your service.
